Is Ondo state governor Akeredolu dead????

There are mixed reactions following the received speculations of death of Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Information reaching Agenda papers indicates that he may have passed on but it’s yet to be confirmed by the family members or Ondo state government.

Earlier reports had it that the Governor had been bedridden at an Ibadan hospital where he was stated to be unable to function or sign documents. He was scheduled to be flown out of the country today – June 3, 2023.

Agenda Papers had earlier in the week reported that Akeredolu, has been in the hospital on account of ill health.

The report further had it Akeredolu has been sick for a while and is said to have issues with cognitive ability and is unable to walk and talk well.

It is because of his frequent illness that his Imo state born wife Betty Anyanwu last year publicly said that one of the girlfriends of the Governor poisoned him and since that time he has been falling in and out of sickness.

Although Ondo state information and orientation commissioner had refuted the news of the sudden demise of the amiable governor but no authoritative family member has come out to confirm or debunk the news.

Calls put through to Akeredolu’s Imo state born wife Betty Anyanwu did connect through several times her lines were tried.
