Festus Keyamo finally makes Tinubu’s ministerial list after much horse trading
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday communicated to the senate that he has withdrawn the nomination of Maryam Shetty as a ministerial nominee, replacing it with Mairiga Mahmud.
In her stead President Bola Ahmed Tinubu added the name of Festus Keyamo as a ministerial nominee.
This is after much horse trading and political manouvering on the part of Keyamo and his sponsors.
Festus Keyamo a one time human rights activist and recently adorned Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN) served in the last administration of Muhammadu Buhari as Minister of state for labour.
It will be recalled that Keyamo in his valedictory speech lampooned former presidents for appointing ministers of state as to him it’s illegal and unconstitutional. But it’s a position he served for complete four years!
Nigerians are keenly watching if he accept the position of minister of state if he is eventually appointed as one by Tinubu.
