70 years old el_Rufai replacement Abbas Balarabe collapses during ministerial screening exercise at the senate

Abbas Balarabe, a ministerial nominee from Kaduna State, who was nominated to replace former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday afternoon, collapsed during his screening by the Senate.

Balarabe had shortly finished reading a brief background information about himself and the Senate also suspended its rules to allow its sitting beyond 2pm, when the incident happened.

There was no clear picture of what actually transpired or what led to the incident as the Senate immediately went into a closed-door session.

Mallam el_Rufai was rejected to be made a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria due to deluge of petitions and protests accusing of religious fundamentalism and irrenditism .
