360 members of house of Reps set to receive brand new 2023 land cruiser SUV Jeeps @ ₦160m each

According to a report, all 360 members of the House of Representatives are set to receive brand new 2023 Land Cruiser SUVs valued at N160 million each. This is a total of N57.6 billion.

The report also alleges that the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives have budgeted billions of naira for convoys in three Nigerian cities each.

Many people are questioning the need for such expensive vehicles for lawmakers, especially when there are so many other pressing needs in the country.

Some Nigerians are saying that the money used in buying these expensive imported vehicles would have been used to buy locally assembled vehicles from Innoson motors and by so doing create more employment, save scarce foreign exchange and empower local manufacturers.
