I have not collected salary for past four months and will not collect for next four years—Alex Otti
Alex Otti has stated that he has not collected salary for the past four months of his been Abia state governor.
This was made known when the speaker of Abia state house of Assembly reminded the governor that he has not taken his salary for the past four months.
In reaction governor Otti said he has just three children and a wife and that the money he has will be enough to take care of them and as such no need for collection of salary as a governor.
Not only that he further stated that for the next four years that he will be governor he will not collect a kobo as salary.
Alex Otti came to power in May 29 under the banner of labour party.
Previously Peoples democratic party (PDP) has ruled the state for 24 years starting with Orji Uzor Kalu, TA Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu.
