Unknown gun men attack Maraba-Abuja supermarket killing four people after operations

The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed a tragic incident in One Man Village, near Mararaba, in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Gunmen invaded a supermarket, killing four customers at approximately 8:45 pm on Tuesday.

In a video obtained from the scene, it was revealed that one of the deceased individuals possessed an identity card belonging to the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Nasarawa police spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel, verified the incident, stating that the Commissioner of Police has directed the Deputy Commissioner in charge of the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) to conduct a thorough investigation.

Our reporter said “On January 2, 2024, four hoodlums attacked the Wisdom Supermarket at Adehi, Karu local government, shooting sporadically. The armed men opened fire on customers, resulting in four casualties who were confirmed dead at Maraba Medical Centre. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the case, and the findings will be disclosed upon completion.”
