Water sold in white nylon (Ice Water Tuturee) re-enters market as price of sachet pure water skyrockets

The iced water in transparent white nylon bags (ice water tuturee) has resurfaced due to inflation-induced price increases in sachet water.

A woman in Ibadan was filmed selling two nylon bags of iced water for N50 in a park.
People in the park were intrigued and brought their phones to film.

As the cost of sachet water rises as a result of inflation, iced water sold in transparent white nylon bags has returned.

Two nylon bags filled with chilled water were being sold by a woman in an Ibadan park for N50 for a pack of two.

This is because, just a few months ago, a bag containing twenty sachets of water was sold for N150; today, it averages N350. It is apparently now N50 for a single sachet, which used to sell for N10.

Because sachet water was cheap, iced water sales stopped years ago. But now it’s returned.
