Catholic Pope Francis disturbed over spate of kidnapping ,abductions & killings in Nigeria
The head of the Catholic Church worldwide, Pope Francis, has expressed worry over the spate of abduction cases in Nigeria.
He expressed this on his X account on Sunday.
He wrote, “The increasingly frequent kidnappings in Nigeria are extremely concerning.

“I express my closeness in prayer to the Nigerian people, hoping that efforts will be made to contain the spread of these incidents as much as possible.”
Recently and for years now there has been spates of abductions, kidnappings and killings in Nigeria. Some of those abducted are Reverend fathers and sisters. Also in some cases terrorists invade Catholic schools and kidnap students with some of them dying and others being rescued or released after payment of huge ramsom.
