I have received my N3.6 stolen money back…I thank Zenith bank & Nigerians who donated money —Actress, Shan George
Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George, has retrieved N3.6 million that was stolen from her Zenith Bank account on May 3.
The actress disclosed this in a live Instagram video on Thursday.
She also thanked Zenith Bank, Opay, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nigerians, and all those who assisted her financially in her pursuit to recover her money.
“I want to thank Zenith Bank for your swift action. I want to thank Opay for being so transparent. I also want to thank Safe Haven Bank, EFCC and the Nigeria Police,” she said.
The actress promised to share more updates on how the incident happened and how she recovered her money.
The PUNCH earlier reported that the actress took to her Instagram account to seek help after her Zenith Bank account was drained of N3.6m by an individual identified as Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro.
The actress shared a screenshot of the debit alert and wrote, “I need help cos I’m dy!ng. This person has just cleared my account.
“Please, my people, everyone please help. Please, Zenith Bank, Reverse it. I can’t access my app. I’m De@D.”
George appealed for help, saying, “Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro, is the name of the person that has just wiped all the money in my account, 3.6 million, into an Opay account.
“I am begging everybody, please Zenith bank, Opay, Abeg make una help me. I take God beg una.
“I don’t have any kobo anywhere again. What will I eat? I no fit beg, I beg una, make una help me.”
