I won’t threaten you like Wike did–Governor Fubara assures Rivers traditional rulers

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has called for unity and cooperation from traditional rulers across Rivers State, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in fostering peace and progress.

Speaking to the esteemed leaders, Gov. Fubara recalled a past incident where a predecessor had issued threats to a traditional leader during a visit to Ahoada-East in Ekpeye land, reports The Tribune.

Reflecting on this experience, Gov. Fubara emphasized a different approach. “I remembered when we went to Ahoada-East, Ekpeye land, to perform an activity,” he recounted.

“A former Governor openly threatened one of you and warned that if you try it, I will do this, I will do that.

“I remembered when we went to Ahoada-East, Ekpeye land, to perform an activity, a former Governor openly threatened one of you and warned that if you try it, ‘I will do this, I will do that.’

“But, I am not going to warn you because you are our fathers. I will appeal to you to you….”
