Peter Obi denounces Canadian-Based Nigerian woman’s threat to poison Yorubas and Edo says it’s divisive

The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Dr. Peter Obi has joined the chorus of condemnation against Amaka Patience Sonnberger, a Canada-based Nigerian woman who threatened to poison Yorubas and Edo natives in Canada.

Obi described her comments as “divisive” and emphasized that such behavior has no place in Nigerian society.

In a statement, Obi urged Nigerians to unite and focus on addressing shared challenges rather than allowing tribalism and hate to divide them.

He stressed that prioritizing tribe or religion does not improve the country’s transportation system, electricity supply, or governance.

Obi advocated for embracing shared humanity and working together towards a prosperous, united, and equitable Nigeria for all.

He emphasized the need to reject tribalism and religious division, and instead, focus on building a better future for the country.
