Arrest Wike now for threatening to put fire in some states—-Pa Edwin Clarke tells Inspector General of Police
Edwin Clark, leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), has urged Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to arrest Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike over threatening comments made against governors supporting Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State Governor.
In an open letter to the IGP, Clark demanded Wike’s arrest, citing his “macabre dance” and disregard for the law. He referenced previous arrests made by the police for similar threats against public peace and officials, questioning the delay in acting against Wike.
Wike’s actions should not be tolerated due to his feud with Fubara, the leader of the PDP in Rivers
Clark, a former minister and elder statesman, expressed shock at Wike’s behavior, highlighting the need for public officers to maintain a high level of conduct.
He accused Wike of attempting to sabotage Fubara’s government and install his brother, Martins Amaewhule, as governor, emphasizing that Wike’s actions should not be tolerated due to his feud with Fubara, the leader of the PDP in Rivers.
