Super Eagles arrive in Nigeria after Trauma of forcing players sleep in Libya airport overnight

The Super Eagles have arrived in Nigeria after their ordeal in Libyan for a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

Players and officials were stranded for about 16 hours at a Libya airport ahead of the game which was supposed to take place on Tuesday.

Photos of the team sleeping on benches went viral early today, prompting condemnation from Nigerian authorities.

But the team has now landed in Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano after their flight was cleared to take off.

Super Eagles is billed to take on the Mediterranean night of Libya for the second leg of the AFCON qualifier match.

The Eagles defeated the Libyan side on Friday at the first leg of the game at Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo.
