Wife of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has appealed to market women to avoid arbitrary increase in prices of goods as christians prepare for the 2024 Christmas celebration.
The Nigeria First Lady made the appeal Friday while addressing Ebonyi women in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

She said: “Christmas is coming, and we want to beg you all our women traders in the market to try to bring your prices down.
“As Nigerians, we are known for hospitality and we are good people, and I don’t know why somebody will be looking for government to give him a bag of rice whereas we can always help each other.
That’s the generation I grew from; we are always our brothers keeper.
“We can still bring back that energy.”
The President’s wife commended Ebonyi women for their ardour, love and uncommon resilience which is evident in the beauty, peace and industry seen in the state.
