No single local government in Borno state is under Boko Haram but people are afraid to return home—Governor Zulum on channels television

The governor of Borno state professor Babagana Zulum has unequivocally stated that there is no single local government area in Borno state as of today that is under the control of Boko Haram

The professor of a governor stated this in his chat with Seun Okinbaloye on channel television.

According to him prior to 2015 about 22 local government areas were under the control of insurgent Boko Haram but that is not the case today.

The governor used the opportunity to give kudos to the military for their unrelenting efforts in ensuring total peace in Borno state.

But on the flip side he said though no local government area is under Boko Haram that people are afraid of returning to their ancestral villages and communities.
