South African female politician, Norah falls into depression & on forced sick leave following leaked explicit sex video

Norah Mahlangu, the mayor of the Tswaing Local Municipality in South Africa’s North West province, has taken a one-month sick leave following the leak of an explicit video.

The footage, which surfaced in a WhatsApp group connected to her party, the ANC, has caused widespread embarrassment. In the video, Mahlangu is seen engaging in intimate acts, which have since gone viral on social media, sparking public outrage.

According to Sam Letlakane, speaker of the municipality’s legislature, Mahlangu is on leave from February 15 to March 16 and has launched an investigation into the leak. She has reportedly sought assistance from law enforcement agencies to determine how the video was distributed. Letlakane confirmed that the interim mayor, Nkegisang Joseph, has been appointed to oversee her duties during this period. The source of the leak remains unknown.
