Security details of embattled Lagos state speaker Meranda restored after temporary withdrawal

Moshood Jimoh, the commissioner of police in Lagos, says the command has restored the security detail of Mojisola Meranda, the speaker of the Lagos house of assembly.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Jimoh said Meranda’s security detail was initially withdrawn for audit purposes.

Earlier in the day all the security details of the embattled emergency speaker was withdrawn paving way for the ousted speaker Mudashiru Obama to force his way into the Assembly complex to declare himself restored speaker.

Reports had it that Obasa went further to hold a plenary session with just four members of the divided Lagos state house of assembly.
