Valentine Ozigbo fails to pick Anambra APC Governorship ticket as Nicholas Ukachukwu wins primaries
The political rigmaroling of Valentine Ozigbo once again failed to yield positive result as he failed to clinch the prized APC Anambra gubernatorial ticket.
Instead the delegates chose Nicholas Ukachukwu to fly their flag in the upcoming election.
In a decisive show of support, delegates at the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2025 governorship primaries overwhelmingly elected Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, popularly known as Ikukuoma, as the party’s flag bearer for the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
The primary election, held this morning, saw Ukachukwu clinch the APC ticket with a commanding 1,455 votes. He defeated three other aspirants namely Valentine Ozigbo, who secured 67 votes; Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, who garnered 26 votes; and Edozie Mmadu, who received 8 votes.
A total of 26 votes were declared invalid.
With this victory, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu is set to lead the APC into the crucial governorship race, as party members rally behind his candidacy with high expectations.
Valentine Ozigbo has been noted for flirting from one political party to another in the bid to occupy the Awka government of Anambra state.
He has moved from APGA to PDP, from PDP to Labour party and from Labour party to APC.
