Benue state Governor Alia appoints popular musician, Tuface Idibia as adviser on entertainment & community outreach

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has appointed renowned Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, as Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.

In a video that has been circulating online, Governor Alia expressed gratitude to Tuface for his consistent support of the state’s administration and noted that the music star has the potential to contribute even more.

“On behalf of the Benue State government and our very good people, we want to give you some more responsibility plus the ones you have been doing because you have the capacity to do some more and help us chart a way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain more from your wisdom and advise as well,” the governor said.

He further added, “So, I’m pleased to announce that we will make you a technical adviser to the Governor on entertainment and community outreach.”

Tuface, a Benue native, is celebrated as one of the most influential Afrobeats artists and a pivotal figure in Nigeria’s music industry, particularly for his role in shaping the pop music scene in the early 2000s.
