Don’t let me go now—Veteran musician cries out for help as he battles partial stroke as wife absconds with children & abandons him
Veteran musician Onyebuchi Onyema popularly known as Daddy Fresh is down with life threatening disease of partial stroke.
In an interview with on air personality Expensive on Wazobia radio the musician said he has been battling with the disease for close three years and has exhausted his personal funds treating it hence the reason he is crying out for public help.
He begged Nigerians that he doesn’t want to die now as he still has a lot for mankind and humanity.
In a voice laden with sorrowful tears Daddy Fresh revealed a very pathetic story of his life where his wife of many years and mother of his children abandoned him with his children.
Daddy Fresh is a veteran Nigerian reggae singer from Abia state and was born in Lagos state Nigeria.
Daddy Fresh started his musical career professionally in the mid-1980s. He was the founding member, leader, lead vocalist, and songwriter, of the group “DE Pretty Busy Boys” which comprises Daddy Showkey Cashman Davies and Sexy Pretty.
One of his popular tracks includes Elena Gberuo.
He became famous in the late 1990s all over Nigeria. During this time, he was honored as the “King of the Ajegunle Musicians” for his innovation of a music genre known as galala or ghetto music.
Ghetto music’s development was not entirely his own, as it was also influenced by the work of Daddy Showkey and Baba Fryo.
