You are a Bloody Genocidist — IPOB attacks General Gowon over role in Nigeria-Biafran war

The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, branded retired General Yakubu Gowon, former head of state of the military, a “genocidist” on Sunday.

Emma Powerful, a spokesman for IPOB, charged Gowon with spearheading the second-bloodiest genocide against Igbos after the Holocaust in Israel.

Strong was responding to Gowon’s most recent remarks regarding the Biafra civil war.

The former Military Head of State revealed, following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, that he was accused of being too slow to pursue the Biafra civil war.

In response, Powerful said that the Igbo people of today would bring about Biafra independence.

Part of a statement from Powerful states: “The horrific but true confession of starting the genocidal war against Biafra by the former Military Head of State of Nigeria, Major General Yakubu Gowon, has drawn the attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by the great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Between 1967 and 1970, the genocidist Yakubu Gowon oversaw the second-bloodiest genocide against the Biafran people after the Israeli Holocaust.

“Recently, during a solidarity visit to President Tinubu, the genocidist, Yakubu Gowon, openly confessed to starting the genocidal war that they call a civil war against Ndigbo without shame.

He further stated that although he was chastised for instigating the conflict, he nevertheless carried out the horrific genocide against the Biafra Nation.

Gowon is celebrating and gallivanting around Nigeria alongside other genocidists after killing millions of Biafran men, women, and children. He doesn’t care that terrorists and outlaws are currently occupying his native state. His people are the victims of the genocide he orchestrated against the Biafran people. Gowon, like the slave he is, is watching helplessly while Fulani bandits and terrorists rename some of the communities in the Tiv nation. God has allowed Gowon to live to see the same genocide on the Biafran people that he committed.

Thankfully, during the brutal civil war, the Nigerian State did not seize even a single inch of Biafran territory. However, jihadists and Fulani conquerors have already taken some of Yakubu Gowon’s and his people’s own land. And the Sokoto Fulani Caliphate will seize the entire Middle Belt if caution is not exercised. Even if we hate the activities of the unrepentant Genocidist Gowon and his fellow Nigerianists against the Biafran people, we do not want that to happen because of the innocent people of the Middle Belt.
