Two major social media platforms Facebook & Instagram shut down abruptly worldwide

Popular social media Facebook and instagram have been shut down for hours.

Agenda Papers investigations revealed that users of Instagram and Facebook accounts could not log in and operate the two social media platforms.

As at 10am when Agenda Papers wanted to do it’s work on Facebook it was discovered that access into the platform was restricted as it asked user to login, this is something that is very rare to experience.

While Facebook requires existing users to login to their accounts, Instagram account profiles of users and homepage could not be refreshed.

This resulted in users of the social interaction platforms going on X to lament the shutdown of the services.

Few hours later it was reported that Facebook was back while Instagram users were still lamenting inability to login.
