DSS arrests El-Rufai’s ally, Aisha Galadima for criticizing Kaduna state governor,Uba Sanni

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested a prominent political associate of the former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Aisha Galadima in Kaduna.

A source told DAILY POST that the arrest of Galadima was allegedly linked to a Facebook post where she criticized Governor Uba Sani.

ASHENEWS reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had, on March 31, 2024, suspended the state Women Leader of the party, Maryam Suleiman.

“The Badarawa/Malali Ward APC Executive Committee after due deliberations and careful examinations on the viral video clip released on 30th March 2024 via social networks; Facebook, WhatsApp, and Tiktok which is against the constitution of our dear party APC as stated in the Article 21.2 (V).

“In view of the above, below are the gross misconducts where the subsequent suspension relied upon. (1) Defamation of character of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State Malam Uba Sani. (2) Unauthorised publicity of the party dispute that discredited the personality of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State,” the party stated in the letter of suspension.

According to reports, the operatives of the DSS picked up the female politician from her residence on Sunday afternoon.

One of her brothers confirmed the development, saying, “Aisha has just been arrested by DSS at her Tudun Wada residence in Kaduna.”

Meanwhile, the Kaduna state former governor has visited the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The visit is coming amidst rumored defection moves taken by El-Rufai.

The two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were captured in a photo during the visit.

At the time of filing this report, the details of the visit were yet to be made public.

In other developments, the suspended Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, Maryam Suleiman, has accused Governor Uba Sani of disloyalty, stressing she has no regrets about criticising him.

Recall that Governor Sani had lamented on Saturday during a recent Town Hall Meeting in Kaduna, that the El-Rufai, left him with a huge debt of $587m, N85bn, and 115 contractual liabilities.
