Nigerian born US-based bodybuilder, Michael Chidozie dies in America one month after wife shot him in anger

Less than a month after Michael Chidozie, a US-based Nigerian bodybuilder, was shot by his wife, Keaiirra Shavoiyae, he has been confirmed dead.

The police disclosed that his wife shot him multiple times at their apartment in Houston, Texas, United States.

It was learnt that Chidozie died after being shot multiple times by his wife as a result of an argument between the couple on March 21.

Mail Online reports that Michael, 26 was gunned down by his wife in the middle of the argument in front of their children in their home in Houston on March 21.

During the argument, his wife took out a handgun and shot the bodybuilder multiple times.

He was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital after police found him with gunshot wounds and his wife in a panic situation in a nearby parking lot holding their two kids, aged three and two.

Police detained the wife and charged her for the shooting, the children were taken into care by a family member, while Chidozie lingered on life support but suffered a devastating spinal injury and died of complications 18 days later.

She claimed to have shot Chidozie in self-defence as she feared for her life during the argument when he followed her into their bedroom.

It’s unclear what the argument was over.

Meanwhile, Keaiirra, 28 has been released on bail and is set to face court again on May 23.
