We will fish out policeman who opened door for yahoo yahoo boy & held naira notes for him to spray—PPRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi

The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to a trending video of an armed policeman escorting and opening a car door for a young man suspected to be involved in internet fraud.

Recall that a trending video showed a young man in dreadlocks, strutting towards a car while an armed policeman follows him.

When they got to a parked SUV, the policeman opened the door for the young man to enter the car.

The video later showed the policeman holding bundles of naira notes for the young man who was spraying money at a party.

The young man posted the video on his TikTok page, but has since deleted it.

The video made the rounds on social media some days ago with many Nigerians calling for the sanctioning of the officer.

While reacting via his X handle, Adejobi said the officer’s act is disgusting and embarrassing to the force. He added that the officer would be fished out and punished accordingly.

“This was a case study at the IGPs conference today in Abuja. This has been condemned, and an investigation has been instituted in the case.

Senior officers have been ordered to take action against such in their AoRs and screen those who are to have police escorts and guards,” he said
