Senate approves additional N6.2 trillion for 2024 appropriation supplementary budget making budget to be N34.7 trillion
The Senate on Tuesday passed the N6.2 trillion 2024 supplementary appropriation bill.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had sought an amendment to the 2024 budget to provide for N3.2 trillion for infrastructure projects and N3 trillion for recurrent expenditure.

Tinubu’s letter was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary.
Yesterday, the senators passed the N6.2trn appropriation bill during plenary.
This has brought the 2024 budget to N34.7 trillion from an initial N28. 5 trillion earlier signed into law by the president.
