Tinubu should create a sixth state for Southeast and I support creation of Anioma state—-Senator Orji Uzor Kalu

The senator representing Abia North Senatorial district, Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged President Buhari to consider the request for the creation of an additional State in Southeast Nigeria.

That, he said, would bring the zone at par with the other five geopolitical zones of the country.

Kalu made the appeal in an interview he granted in the United States of America, and shared in his social media handle.

He noted that creating the additional state in the geopolitical zone would boost the trust the Igbo’s have on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Senator Kalu, however, threw his full support on Anioma as the most deserving state to create for the zone.

According to him, creation of Anioma State would offer the Igbo’s in the present Delta State the opportunity to achieve their aspirations of fully identifying with their brothers and sisters as Igbos in South East.

He urged Governors, National Assembly members and all stakeholders from Igbo land to support the call for the creation of Anioma State.

Kalu emphasized: “For me the most viable to create if really the other parts of Nigeria want the Southeast to have a new state is Anioma State from Delta State.

“They are ready to go, they are Igbos and they are not shy telling others that they are Igbos.

“Every Igbo man from Imo, Abia, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi State should support Anioma State.

“I am a believer in Anioma State, and I will support them anytime, anywhere.

“So, If President Ahmed Tinubu wants to be a good father Christmas to the Igbos,, he should support the creation of the 6th state for Southeast, and that state should be Anioma State.”
