Timipre Sylva Emerges Winner Of APC Governorship Ticket For Bayelsa State
Former Bayelsa Governor and Minister of state for Petroleum Timipre Sylva has won the APC Governorship ticket for the November 11, Gubernatorial Election in the state.
Sylva beat five other candidates to clinch the coverted ticket as he polled 52,061 to beat his closest rival Joshua Macaiver who polled 2,078 votes.
It is on record that Timipre Sylva was once arrested and arraigned by EFCC for having over 50 choice Properties across the country and abroad.
Up till this moment nothing has been heard on the charges against him and corruption case.
He will slug it out with incumbent Bayelsa state Governor Diri of the PDP at the November Election.
