Senator Athan Achonu wins Imo Labour Party Governorship Ticket
Senator Athan Achonu, the former Senator who formerly represented Imo North Senatorial district has emerged winner of the Imo State Labour Party Governorship primary election.
Achonu defeated the likes of Sam Amadi, a former Chairman of Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to clinch the coverted party ticket.
It will be recalled that Imo State Labour Party Frontline Governorship aspirant Chief Anumudu died mysteriously and in questionable circumstances in Lagos about one month ago.
This led to the refund of his money used in purchase of the Governorship primaries form as directed by the party’s presidential flag bearer Peter Obi.
