Governor Wike recants..says Peter Obi won the presidential election
Surprise was the word when PDP faithfuls in a gathering heard Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike state in clear and unmistakable terms that Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential election.
In a viral video Wike was heard saying that the actual winner of the election was Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
In the words of Wike” Peter Obi may not have been declared the winner of the election but the law will take its course”
It will be recalled that Wike supported and in fact ordered Rivers State people to vote for the Candidate of the APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu, making APC to come tops in the Presidential election, a feat which is first in history for APC to garner high votes in Rivers State.
Wike was also heard previously giving reasons why he supported Tinubu to include the unity of the country and for the overall benefit of the Rivers State people.
