Driver narrowly escapes death as fully loaded 40ft container crushes Toyota Camry car in Mile 2 area of Lagos
It was a narrow escape for the driver of a Toyota Camry with registration number LSR 293 HJ as a 40-foot container fell and crushed his car.
The incident, it was learnt, happened at about 8 am on Monday in Mile 2 , Lagos.
The driver whose vehicle was mangled, was rescued through the combined efforts of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

He was said to have been immediately given a medical attention by emergency workers before being rushed to the hospital for further treatment. team.
The emergency response teams on ground were also able to retrieve the car from under the container. Efforts were also being made to evacuate the fallen container.
Reacting to the incident, he General Manager of LASTMA, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said truck drivers must always ensure they properly secure their containers to avoid endangering lives.
