Orji Uzor Kalu looses out of senate presidency race to Akpabio

One of the topmost claimants and contenders to the exalted position of senate president Orji Uzor Kalu may have lost out of the race.

This is following the latest endorsement of uncommon Governor Godswill Akpabio by the National working committee of APC and the APC governors.

It’s also highly gathered that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is more disposed to work with Akpabio than with Orji Uzor Kalu.

Orji Uzor Kalu woes were further aggravated by seemingly betrayal and endorsement of Akpabio by his fellow kinsman and governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi.

Also the south east media professionals have come out to endorse Akpabio over Orji Uzor Kalu stating that Akpabio is more nationally accepted and has great performance track than Orji Uzor Kalu.

With the almost certain lost out of Orji Uzor Kalu and indeed any other senator from the Senate presidency the south east and indeed ndi Igbo have lost out of the four most powerful and ranking positions in the country.

The president will come from South West, vice president from the north, Senate president from the south-south and speaker of the house of Representatives from the north. The chief justice of Nigeria is from the south-west.

It is on record that since the advent of the third republic in 1999 no south east person has occupied the position of president or vice president.
