Veteran actor & comedian, Okey Bakassi crowned King in his Mbaise, Imo state community
One of Africa’s longest stand up-comedian and actor Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule popularly known as Okey Bakassi has emerged King in his hometown in Imo State.
The talented actor cum Nigerian born entertainer was crowned by the people of Umuihuocha Autonomous Community in Mbaise.
In a confirmation post on his social media pages Okey Bakassi while appreciating his people, described the development as a new beginning and a community service to his people.
Notable celebrities and media executives have taken to social media to congratulate the new king.
Some of the stars include, Ali Baba, Yaw, Kcee, Acapella among others.
Okey Bakkasi studied Agricultural Engineering at the Rivers state University of Science and Technology, Portharcout and did his NYSC at Iyaba-Ipaja Camp, Lagos in 1993.
He featured in many Nollywood movies and sitcoms but he is greatly remembered in his role as Nduka in Flatmate, an award winning sitcom shown in DSTV.
