18 year old apprentice boy impregnates master’s daughter, salesgirl & 8 others in five months in Anambra

The Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo, has expressed grave concern over an 18-year-old apprentice who allegedly impregnated 10 girls, including his master’s daughter and salesgirl, within a span of five months.

According to Commissioner Obinabo, the teenager was initially sent to learn a trade under a master but was expelled after impregnating his boss’s daughter and salesgirl within three months. Shockingly, he went on to impregnate eight other girls in his village within just two months of returning home.

The Commissioner shared the disturbing case on her official social media handle, seeking public advice and collective action to address the issue.
She lamented that the matter had overwhelmed her office and capacity to handle, stating, “This is not just an individual problem anymore; this is a societal issue.”

The Teenager’s Modus Operandi
When confronted, the teenager revealed that he tells the girls he loves them and promises to marry them once he becomes wealthy.
Commissioner Obinabo rhetorically asked, “What kind of charm or psychological power is this?” She emphasized the need for help, both spiritual and psychological, to address the teenager’s behavior .

She however refrained from disclosing the identity of the boy or the specific community where the incident occurred just to protect the privacy of those involved—Obinabo noted that the magnitude of the issue called for collective action and public input, as it had far exceeded the boundaries of what her office could address alone.

“This is a societal issue. Ten girls, and this boy is just 18? Something is definitely wrong somewhere. We need help, both spiritual and psychological if necessary.”she noted .
