Professor Wole Soyinka has come to state that president Tinubu is much more capable to tackle Nigeria’s insecurity than any other government.
He made this in reference to America’s president Trump threat to come and tackle banditry and terrorism in Nigeria.
Hear Soyinka:
“Because I’m ill or have difficulties does not mean I should accept aid from a mad man. You cannot just open your mouth and say you’re coming to help someone with viølence, without any real analysis of where the problem started.”
Wole Soyinka who is noted to be vocal and outspoken to various regimes in the country has for some time gone mute on all the critical national issues bedevilling since May 29,2023 that Tinubu took over as president.
He was first quoted to have said he will not comment on Tinubu’s government until it is one. Two years now and going to three years Nigerians have not been hearing from hitherto violent critics.
Some Nigerians are wondering what happened to the once vociferous critic while others have concluded that he has gone, deaf, dumb, blind and senile and doesn’t know how to carry placards or write scathing letters to Presidents and heads of government as he used to do before .
