Popular cleric Apostle Suleman has declared that prayer alone cannot fix the consequences of bad governance in Nigeria.
Speaking during a sermon, he said: “It’s a waste praying when you have elected a bad person. The only prayer you will now pray is the grace to survive the suffering.” He also criticized insensitivity from leaders who send media for damage control while people mourn. Suleiman lamented that “evil is becoming regular” and “death is becoming normal” in Nigeria.
Suleiman argues prayer is futile without good leadership.
He calls out leaders for lacking empathy during national tragedies.
Death has become so routine that Nigerians no longer mourn deeply.
Some Nigerians reacted, saying, “Nobody elected them, they seized power.”
The cleric urges sensitivity, not media spin, when citizens grieve.
