Don’t you ever remarry again–Pastor Ituah Ighadalo daughter warns father

In a recent interview, Ituah Ighodalo, the head pastor of Trinity House Church in Lagos, candidly shared his thoughts on the possibility of remarriage and his role as a widowed father. He revealed that while he is currently content with his life as it is, one of his daughters has advised him against remarrying at this time.

Ighodalo expressed that he remains open to the idea of remarriage, but only when his children are older. For now, he is fully dedicated to raising and caring for them. He emphasized that his children have the love and support of several mother figures in their lives. These include his mother-in-law (their maternal grandmother), his brother’s wife, his sister, and Dami, who served as his late wife’s personal assistant and has continued to be actively involved in their lives.

When asked about navigating the attention and advances from women as a widower, Ighodalo shared his strategies for maintaining boundaries. He ensures that he is never alone with any woman and is always accompanied by his personal assistant, special assistant, or chief of staff during meetings. Alternatively, he arranges meetings in his home where maids are present, creating a comfortable and professional environment.

The loss of Ighodalo’s wife, Ibidun, in June 2020 was a devastating blow. She was renowned for her beauty pageant background, event management expertise, and philanthropic endeavors. Co-pastoring Trinity House Church alongside Ighodalo, she also founded organizations dedicated to providing support to families facing infertility challenges. The couple, after experiencing unsuccessful attempts at in-vitro fertilization, chose to adopt two children.

Before his marriage to Ibidun, Ighodalo was previously married to Lucy-Ann Suinner, but their relationship ultimately ended in divorce.

While Ighodalo continues to navigate the complexities of life after loss, he remains committed to being a loving father to his children and cherishing the memories of his late wife, whose impact on his life and the community is deeply felt.
