Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional appeal for financial assistance as she battles an undisclosed health condition requiring multiple surgeries.
The actress shared the plea in a collaborative Instagram post with fellow actress Ayo Adesanya, accompanied by a video showing her receiving treatment in a hospital bed.
According to Ngozi, she has been hospitalized for the past three weeks and is enduring severe pain.
“I’m begging you my fans and family don’t let me die because I am going through a lot of pain. I have like three surgeries to go.”
The post’s caption revealed that the actress urgently needs life-saving surgeries and appealed to fans, colleagues and well-wishers for support.
“I’m begging you my fans and family don’t let me die because I am going through a lot of pain. I have like three surgeries to go.”
“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction.”
According to the appeal, ₦30 million is needed to cover the cost of all three surgeries. The post also provided her account details and urged anyone willing to assist to contact her legal representative or management for further information.
Ngozi did not disclose the nature of the illness or the hospital where she is receiving treatment .
This is not the first time the actress has publicly sought help for a health crisis. In 2012, she battled kidney-related complications and a heart condition, prompting an appeal for funds to undergo treatment abroad. At the time, the late former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola donated ₦4.5 million towards her medical expenses after public contributions fell short.
She was later flown to the United Kingdom for treatment, where doctors reportedly discovered that only one of her kidneys had been affected, contrary to the initial diagnosis she received in Nigeria.
Best known for her roles in Yoruba and English-language productions, including the popular sitcom Fuji House of Commotion, Ngozi remains one of Nollywood’s most respected actresses.
Her latest appeal has drawn an outpouring of support on social media, with fans and colleagues praying for her recovery and encouraging Nigerians to contribute towards her treatment.
