Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved payment for the first phase of the medical bills of Abia-born veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, in a gesture of support during her ongoing health challenge.
The development was disclosed by Dr. Justice Okey Martins (aka JMartins), the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Tourism and Entertainment to the Abia State Governor, who thanked Governor Otti for the timely intervention while appealing to Nigerians to continue supporting the veteran actress.
According to Dr. Justice Okey Martins, the Governor’s intervention covers the first part of Ngozi Nwosu’s medical expenses, but additional financial support is still needed to ensure she receives the care she requires.
“His Excellency @alexottiofr has just stepped in on the health issues of our Abia-born Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
While expressing appreciation to Governor Otti, Dr. Justice Okey Martins also appealed to kind-hearted Nigerians to support the actress in any way possible.
“While we sincerely appreciate His Excellency, we still appeal to kind-hearted Nigerians to please support her in any way possible.”
