Nigerian Afrobeats star Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has disclosed that the recent break in his music activities was due to the death of his mother earlier this year.
Daniel noted that the break was not because he was working on a new album.
The singer, also known as Vado D’Great, made the revelation on Friday in a reply to a fan on X.
The fan, @VicroyDominion1, had written, “I guess album really made you busy you had to pause for a while.”
Kizz Daniel responded, “I paused for my Mom not an album … Lost her this year, but I have to keep moving for the rest of the family… sorry I came late this year.”
The post attracted reactions from fans, many of whom offered condolences and prayers for his late mother and his family.
