A Former Kogi East Senator, Chief Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja, has reportedly married a young woman identified as Winifred, with the development generating widespread discussion on social media over the reported 56-year age difference between the couple.
According to several social media posts circulating online, Ocheja, 74, and Winifred, reportedly 18, held their traditional wedding ceremony in mid-September 2026 at Golden Spring Estate, Lokongoma, Abuja.
The reports said the ceremony was attended by family members, friends and political associates, including former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba.
A church solemnisation was also reportedly held shortly afterwards at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Maitama, Abuja.
Ocheja, a lawyer and politician, previously represented Kogi East Senatorial District in the National Assembly during the 7th Senate between 2011 and 2015. Court records also identify him as a former senator for Kogi East.
