NNPC increases fuel pump price from N488 to N617 per litre
The government of Bola Tinubu has increased the pump p of premium motor spirit (PMS) otherwise known as fuel from N488 per litre to N617 per litre , Agenda papers can authoritatively cconfirm.
This is second increment in in an administration that is barely two months without a structure and functional cabinet.
A visit to an NNPC filling station in the Central area of Abuja by out reporter confirmed that the fuel price has now been adjusted from N539 to N617 per litre.
Same situation was the case in some filling stations along the Muritala Mohammed airport who were as at 9am this morning were dispensing N497 per litre but now changed to N620 per litre.
Another Customer who confirmed this development simply said “It is true, I just bought at N617 per liter,”
The immediate reason could not be ascertained but it is not unconnected to the recent projections by oil marketers that fuel price will hit N700 per litre soon.
As at the time of filing this report Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) is yet to comment on astronomical fuel pump price increase.
