Again Tinubu meets with disgruntled G-5 governors in presidential villa Aso Rock
The closed-door meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, the nation’s capital, 9News Nigeria can authoritatively confirm.
It was gathered that the engagement with Tinubu was preceded by a preliminary meeting held at the Abuja residence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Although details of the discussions remain confidential, but the gathering of the prominent political figures has raised speculations about the potential realignments and power shifts within Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of 2027.
Out of the five governors of the G-5 it’s only Wike that has been settled with ministrial appointment of FCT minister.
Others like Okezie Ikpeazu, Ifeanyi , Samuel Ortom are still left desolate as they lost their bid to become senators and also denied any appointment from Tinubu.
The meeting’s significance is amplified by the fact that it brought together key figures from both the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC), sparking curiosity and intrigues across the nation.
As Nigerians await further information, the outcome of these talks will likely have far-reaching implications in the country’s political arena.
