Abia state born & Umuahia woman, Chioma Asagwara becomes Canada’s first black health minister & deputy premier of Manitoba province
A smart young Nigerian of Igbo extraction daughter of Olokoro, Umuahia South L.G.A of Abia State has hugged global limelight as she makes waves in Canada; having being sworn in as the new Health Minister and Deputy Premier, 9News Nigeria has learned.
Uzoma Chioma Asagwara, 2nd daughter of her father has left the world tongueless in Canada, as she becomes the new Health Minister and Deputy Premier of the Province of Manitoba. She took her oaths of office on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
It is an epoch accomplishment as she broke the records of being the first black to achieve that position, having served out her Legislature tenure as the first black in that position In the Province of Manitoba and Canada.
Chioma Uzoma Asagwara was born in 1984 in Canada to an Umuahia, Abia state parents.
She school at the university of Winnipeg where she became the university athlete person of the year in 2006 as she is renowned basketball player.
