Tinubu calls out son, Seyi & condemns his unauthorized attendance of FEC meeting
President Bola Tinubu has warned government officials and family members against attending the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting without an invitation.
Tinubu issued the warning at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, before the commencement of the FEC meeting on Monday.
Tinubu expressed his dissatisfaction with people sneaking in and out of the council without authorization. He stated that it was not acceptable and went ahead to list the people who are granted an exception to attend the meeting.
They include Hadiza Usman, the Special Adviser on Policy Coordination, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Principal Private Secretary and Damilotun Aderemi, the Private Secretary.
The President directed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Folashade Yemi-Esan, to take note of his directive. He emphasized that no one should have access to the FEC meeting unless their name is announced, and they are granted permission.
Tinubu also stressed the importance of accurately following the planning of government events. He expressed his confidence in the integrity of his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and asked that all campaigns of calumny and insinuation stop.
Tinubu, further urged government officials and family members not to attend the FEC meeting without an invitation. He reiterated that only the authorized personnel should have access to the meeting and be present when conducting the business of the nation.
