Gov. Yahaya Bello slaps APC governorship candidate Ododo after seeing publication on criminal trial for forgery
In a truly bizarre turn of events, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has allegedly slapped his proxy third term candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo, after seeing a publication about his criminal trial for forgery on Sahara Reporters.
According to our sources, the Governor was furious that Ododo had kept such an important secret from him, especially with the gubernatorial election just 12 days away.
“Why keep such an important secret from me?” the Governor is said to have shouted, as he slapped Ododo across the face. “Don’t you know that I’m the governor and I deserve to know everything that’s going on in my state?”
Ododo, who was reportedly stunned by the slap, tried to explain to the Governor that he didn’t want to bother him with such trivial matters. But the Governor was not having it.
“Trivial matters?” he said. “This is not trivial matters! This is about my political future! If I had known about this trial sooner, I could have done something about it. But now it’s too late. And it’s all your fault!”
The Governor’s outburst sent shockwaves through the Kogi State political scene. Many people are now wondering if Ododo is still the best person to be the governor’s proxy candidate. After all, if he’s willing to keep such important secrets from the Governor, what else is he willing to do?
