New year calamity as two children die & three others injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway ghastly motor accident
Tragedy struck on new year when two children died in an auto crash that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Three other persons also sustained varying degrees of injuries from the accident
Involved in the crash was a Toyota car with the registration number: TTD985AA
Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State, Florence Okpe confirmed this to newsmen in Abeokuta in a statement on Monday
Okpe said that the cause of the auto crash was a lone one where the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle as a result of excessive speed and rammed it into a ditch
She said that five persons( three male children, one male and one female adult) were involved in the accident
The Chief Route Commander said that two of the male children died while one male child, male and female adult sustained injuries in the crash.
She said that the injured victims had been taken to Victory Hospital Ogere for medical attention while the corpses had also been deposited at ISARA General Hospital morgue.
