Super Eagles wallops host country Ivory Coast 1-0 in tension soaked epic AFCON 2024 match

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have defeated host country, Ivory Coast 1-0 at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

The Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal points to the spot to award Nigeria a penalty after a VAR check when Victor Osimeh was fowled inside the eighteen yard penalty box.

Captain William Troost-Ekong who played the penalty sent the Ivory Coast Goalkeeper to the wrong side while he scored.
