Super Eagles get $30,000 dollars per player for qualifying for quarter finals at AFCON 2024
After advancing past the group stage of the current 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles each took home a whooping $30,000.
Jose Peseiro’s team trailed the Equatorial Guinean Nzalang Nacional team in Group A.
SCORENigeria claims that the prior agreement called for each player to get a $5,000 match bonus leading up to the championship.
Since then, it has been abandoned in favour of a one-time payment for each competition round.
For defeating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Round of 16, the squad will receive an extra bonus.
Friday’s quarterfinal matchup between Jose Peseiro’s team and the Black Antelopes of Angola will take place at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
