Best dressed female award winner Bobrisky bags six months jail term for laundering N180.7 million & abuse of naira

The notable crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been sentenced to six months in prison without the option of a fine.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro delivered this verdict on April 12, 2023, at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Bobrisky had previously been brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on six-count charge, including allegations of Naira abuse and money laundering.

Although the money laundering charges were dropped, he confessed to Naira abuse and was consequently convicted.
